Tradeshow Products
You can never estimate how long someone will be at your booth, so why
not make them feel comfortable.
Tradeshow attendees are just like kids in a toy store. Let's face it
adults are just big kids. They will enter the conference hall and
quickly search for the booths that are fun, even if that booth doesn't
have products, which apply to their business. I know this, because I'm
just as guilty. Yes, I search for fun tradeshow products. The booths
that have television and computers get traffic. People will stop by a
booth with a TV, just to see what's showing, or watch an interactive
computer game that is being displayed. Many are willing to wait in line
for their chance to play.
Some other tradeshow products I have discovered over the years to use
are tables and chairs. You can never estimate how long someone will be
at your booth, so why not make them feel comfortable. A colleague of
mine was at a tradeshow up north
and landed a huge account simple because he offered a gentleman a place
to sit. The gentleman said that he was at the show with a friend and was
pleased that my colleague had offered him a place to rest. The man had a
general nametag, wasn't
wearing any form of logo stating he was with any corporation. When asked
about our product my colleague gave his pitch, and offered the man a cup
of coffee. The following week, we all discovered that gentleman happened
to be the CEO of a major
corporation and was so impressed by my colleague's Southern Hospitality,
that he gave us his account. Since then, not one of use ever goes to a
tradeshow without at lest four comfortable chairs and a table. Many
times, I will even have coffee, or water and some snack items to hand
out. Tradeshows can be exhausting for both the representatives and the
attendees. These simple items make the displays more comfortable and
letting the individuals concentrate on what I'm telling them about our
product instead of their tired feet.
