Tradeshow Display Graphics
Tradeshow display graphics are fantastic in getting the audiences
attention.
Great graphics speak louder than words and at tradeshows, this is
especially important when you're trying to attract attention on an over
crowded tradeshow floors. There are literately hundreds of exhibitors
and thousands of attendees all crowed into a conference room, and you
have to stand out. One way to do this is with graphics.
Many people think of photographs when they think of graphics, but you
have to think bigger. When we're talking about tradeshow display
graphics, we're including every visual aspect of the display from the
carpet, to the pattern on the walls of your
booth to the huge eye-catching logo that is hanging overhead.
When planning your graphics, you will have some tough questions to
answer, such as what kind of graphics, size, color, placement, and how
many do you want. You want to have a balance between your graphics and
the rest of your exhibit. Too
many graphics can be overpowering for your audience. You want to give
them a focal point, or something that will draw their attention, not
blind them, or push them away.
An example would be if you were using a tabletop display or smaller
pop-up display, then you may wish to focus your graphics on one central
piece, but if your booth space were a huge 20x20, then you would want to
take advantage of this opportunity.
Years ago I worked for a pharmaceutical company, over our booth hung a
huge banner bearing our logo, the carpet in our booth was light blue,
with our logo in a slightly darker blue imprinted on the carpet, and our
folding wall panels were done in the
same. We'd taken advantage of our large space and had our logo on just
about everything, but it was subtle, not over powering the audience.
Tradeshow display graphics are fantastic in getting the audiences
attention. However, remember, that once you've hooked them, its up to
you to capture them with your literature and conversation. Graphics are
to support you and your product, not the other way around.
