Creating a Banner
Once you know the size that your banner can be, you can then decide the
message you want to convey.
Many times this is the most difficult part.
You'll need to take inconsideration who your audience will be, the
manner the banner will be used, and will this banner be used at every
tradeshow you attend? If so, then it will have to appeal to an audience,
which will vary in profile. If this is the case, then you will want to
express a global message where you can concentrate on brand awareness,
many times a simple catch phrase will work. However, if you will be
creating new banners for each specific tradeshow and audience, then you
will have flexibility to have a more creative message geared for that
particular audience.
Now you have the size of your banner, and the right message, the next
step is the layout and format. Two very important issues have to be
considered, Will you hang your banner, and where is it to be displayed
in your exhibit.
The finale step is to be creative. You can find banners in a variety of
materials such as vinyl, canvas, fabric, and neon lights. You want your
banner to attract attention, and relay a message that will not be lost
in the banner, so contemplate efficiency in making this decision. This
part is generally the easiest part.
